Everyday Unseen 2023’s Theme

Monuments to the Mundane

We live life stumbling upon small moments that become the center of our world. Beyond the fateful shifts and colossal changes we experience, there are always little things that filter through and make life uniquely ours. The interactions, habits, experiences, and relationships that we consider mundane by day can turn into monuments by night.

How can we celebrate the unseen joy and unnoticed weight of everyday life? We invite you to look inward and begin building your moments into monuments.

This year’s theme was written by our Youth Leadership Council, a group of local, emerging artists 17-20 years old.

They will also work together to curate the exhibit based on whether or not submissions are relevant to the theme.
